The new Nissan Navara gets improved technology features

The all-new Nissan Navara will be hitting the market of SA and will be the most advanced technology-savvy Navara to ever be released. The new Navara will come equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) which features some of the best technology in the world.

Stefan Haasbroek, Nissan South Africa Marketing Director says "With the new Navara, Nissan once again brings the latest advanced NIM technology that is leading the pickup segment, bringing the best of Japanese technology to ensure enhanced dynamic performance on- and off-road, as well as safety and comfort ushering in a new age of toughness, tech and seamless drives,”

Among this latest range of impressive technology is Inteligent Forward Colliosion Warning, which is used to monitor any sudden movements of any two vehicles ahead and will alert the driver of any potential risks of a forward collision. This will fall part of Nissan's "vehicles that help protect people" concept which is there to support the safety of the driver. Inteligent Emergency Braking will also be available and will be used to monitor and warn the driver of any sudden movements in front of the vehicle, and will use brakes to avoid any possible collisions. This feature is especially useful when maneuvering busy streets or traffic.

For drivers who travel long distance will find Inteligent Driver Alertness to be extremely beneficial as its capable of detecting changes in driving style or steering behavior, and will alert the driver to take breaks in between their long journey. To ensure visibility in the evening, the Navara will come with Inteligent High Beam Assist which will automatically switch the headlights from a low beam to a high beam when it detects a vehicle ahead.

Lane Departure Warning will be available and will warn drivers if they begin to wander outside of their lane. Drivers will also benefit from Blind Spot Warning, which will further help the driver avoid any collisions by detecting vehicles in the blind spot area when changing lanes.

Above and beyond these features, drivers can also rely on Inteligent Around View Monitor (Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection), which uses four mounted cameras to help the driver notice people and other cars within its surrounding area as well as approaching vehicles. Rear Cross Traffic Alert will be another feature on the new Navara and will reduce the stress that comes with limited visibility when reversing out of a parking spot.
