Sports car performance and unique character from new 221kw Ingenium motor
0-100kph in just 5.7 seconds. Jaguar wants South Africans to know that despite its small capacity, its new 2.0-turbocharged F-type still offers genuine sports car thrills. The new Ingenium motor is the most powerful four-cylinder engine ever fitted to a Jaguar, and boasts outputs of 221kw and 400nm. Interestingly enough, the motor offers a 52kg weight saving over the 3.0-litre model, and combined with bespoke chassis tuning, it’s said to offer drivers enhanced dynamics and agility. The new motor is also said to deliver improved efficiency, as well as offer buyers a more affordable way into F-Type ownership.

The four-cylinder charged F-Type completes the 2018 model year F-Type line-up, joining the 423kw supercharged V8 F-Type SVR, 405kw F-Type R, 294kW F-Type 400 Sport, 280kw F- Type S and 250kw F-Type – in both Coupé and Convertible body styles, as well as the R-Dynamic trim level.
The new Ingenium powered F-Type Coupé starts at R909,300; and its Convertible sibling starts at R926,100. All new Jaguar cars come with the Jaguar Five-Year Care Plan: a five-year/100 000km service plan, a five-year/100 000km maintenance plan and a five-year/100 000km warranty, as standard.
