I’ve never been a fan of the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagons, mostly because of how they drove on normal roads. They were and still are great off-road cars, but when it comes to highway and city driving they were just horrible to drive. This all changed when the new G-Wagon got launched, I’ve been lucky enough to experience both cars and they are nothing alike. The newer model feels better, it looks better, and it drives better. One of the biggest issues I had with the older ones, was the fact that once you got to 120KM/H it felt like the car wanted to kill you, because the older models aren’t the best when it came to aerodynamics. Once you started hitting such speeds it would start to steer to the left, you had to have a little wrestling match with the car. In the new G-Wagon, I had a different experience. I connected with the car, the aerodynamics still isn’t the best out there, but it’s way better than the older one. The car didn’t lag like the older ones, it was aggressive when you wanted it to be aggressive and it’s comfortable when you wanted it to be comfortable, where as the older ones were just aggressive the whole time. If you haven’t driven the new G-Wagon, I suggest you do because it will be an experience that will take your perspective of the G-Wagon to a whole new level.
