Updated Jaguar I-PACE is finally available in SA

The latest Jaguar I-PACE has made its way to South Africa, offering customers a new infotainment system, improved driver assistance technologies, and quick charging capabilities. The I-PACE will come standard with an 11kW onboard charger, which will enable customers to access three-phase electricity supplies, allowing for faster charging. A full charge from empty will now take only 8.6 hours making it ideal for overnight charging at home.

The cabin of the new I-PACE is perhaps the biggest highlight here and will come equipped with the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, which features a 12.3-inch high-definition virtual instrument cluster that comes with a 10-inch and 5-inch upper and lower touchscreen and multi-function. The Pivi Pro is easy to use and will be supported by a built-in back-up battery, meaning that navigation initialization will take just a few seconds. As standard, a Smartphone Pack with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available on all derivatives, as well as a dual modem embedded SIM and Bluetooth technology. New optional features available on the I-PACE will include a wireless device charging pad which will be located beneath the ‘floating’ centre console.

To ensure clear visibility for the driver, the latest I-PACE will come with Jaguar’s ClearSight rear-view mirror. This will ensure that the driver will always have an unobstructed view of the road behind them. The latest 3D Surround Camera technology will also be featured on the I-PACE and will use the latest camera technology to provide detailed viewing options for the driver when manoeuvring the vehicle. Other additional features include Cabin Air Ionisation which is used to help improve the interior air quality, by using Nanoe technology to remove all allergens and unpleasant odours.

In terms of exterior, the I-PACE will be offered in a new Bright Pack styling option. Customers who choose this option will benefit from a “Noble Chrome” grille surround, “Atlas Grey” door mirror caps, “Satin Chrome” window surrounds, and an “Atlas Grey” detailed rear diffuser. The popular Black Pack styling option will still be available and has been enhanced with an application of gloss black finish to the rear badges. The I-PACE colour palette has also been extended with three new refreshing colours: Caldera Red, Portofino Blue, and Eiger Grey.

The I-PACE will be offered with an 8-year or 160 000km battery warranty on top of the standard Jaguar Care plan which offers a 100,000km warranty and servicing within in 5-year period.
