Ferrari Roma makes a virtual debut in South Africa

When you fantasize about what a beautiful car would, you will probably find yourself getting lost in the fantasy of the new Ferrari Roma. The new Ferrari Roma has somehow managed to capture the beauty of ‘Rome’ in a car. The latest V8 2+ coupé recently launched digitally, for the first time ever in Ferrari’s history.

This new coupe from Maranello offers a unique driving experience. The distinguishable Italian styling seen in the Roma is set to be a representation of the 1950s and 60’s Rome. The Ferrari Roma is the most powerful of its piece as it knocks out 456kw at 7,500 rpm. It is arguably the sleekest car to have come out of Ferrari as it draws inspiration from the iconic 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso and 250 GT 2+2.

If you are wondering what the Roma is packing under its lengthy bonnet – it packs a Turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 engine which is powered by an 8-speed dual-clutch Automatic transmission.

To ensure that the Roma will be the best performing car in its class. Ferrari engineers developed several leading-edge technologies, most notably a mobile rear spoiler which is joined into the rear screen, designed to retain the car’s charming elegance.

The Ferrari Roma also gets a Variable Boost Management for immediate throttle response. Ferrari has also shifted its focus to the exhaust system as it sees a whole new redesign, by eliminating the silencers and introducing bypass valves.

The Roma comes with Matrix LED Headlights and optional Ferrari advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive Cruise Control, making the driving experience even more luxurious. It is also equipped with a new Ferrari key which allows drivers to open the car by the touch of a button, and that is thanks to the “Comfort Access”.

The Ferrari Roma has set a new bar in the brand's endless quest for style and driving excellence, with a hefty starting price of R4 972 000.
